He has extensive training with olympic lifting and specializes in the rehabilitation of Crossfit and endurance athletes. He is certified by the Titleist Performance Institute to perform the golf-specific TPI assessments which help golfers improve their swing mechanics, build power and reduce injuries.
PT, DPT
Emily Pederson
Dr Pederson grew up in the bay area where she participated in many sports and outdoor activities with her siblings and friends. She attended The Masters University where she played collegiate soccer and studied Kinesiology with a Physical Therapy emphasis.
While preparing for PT school, she worked as a sports and conditioning coach for athletes of all ages. She then attended Cal State Northridge in LA where she received her doctorate in Physical Therapy. Since then, she has held various positions seeing orthopedic and neurologic patients in both hospital and clinical settings.
In 2018, she began pursuing teaching and is now an adjunct instructor for the Physical Therapy Assistant program at The Mendocino College. Emily has a love for learning - both from her peers as well as her patients - and she puts to use new research and treatment methods to improve patient outcomes. She has an eclectic approach that marries hands-on therapy, breathing, and personalized exercise programs to address her patient’s goals.
In her free time, Emily enjoys cycling with friends, hiking with her dog, and spending time in the ocean (although she’d rather be surfing in Hawaii where the water is warm).
